About Us

Having been in the outdoor television business for over fifteen years, I have traveled the U.S. and other countries in search of large and small game. I have been fortunate enough to hunt with some of the best of the best when it comes to dog related game. I have witnessed World Champion bird dogs, coon hounds, fox hounds, squirrel dogs, rabbit dogs and more. Of all the different breeds, the lab has been my favorite. For the past nine years my best friend and hunting companion has been my chocolate lab, Sport. No matter what I am hunting, he is always with me eager to lend a hand. He and I have never had a bad day even if the birds aren't flying or there are no deer to track. We just enjoy each others company. I have taught him a few things about retrieving game, but he has shown me an unconditional love and desire to please that I have never known. It is because of Sport that my family and I have chosen to raise labs. My wife, Tyree, is an avid dog lover as are our two girls, Jessica (age 12) and Brittany (age 10). We also have an apricot poodle named Ginger, who is the queen of the house withouth a doubt.

It is our goal to produce pups that can be champions in the field or just be your best friend at home. They are still the number one family pet in America due to their great temperment, which is the main quality that we look for when breeding our labs. A dog that is easy going toward other dogs and animals as well as people, especially children, is normally willing to be corrected and taught without holding a grudge and will make the best companions for anyone of any age.

The second quality we look for is trainablility or what the old timers call "smarts". It has been my experience that having parents with a strong bloodline is not always enough. Just like people, some animals are more willing to learn than others. This is not to say they aren't "smart", but they are not as eager to learn or have as great a desire to please.

Last, but not least, is appearance. We all have a different opinion of what the perfect lab should look like as far as size, shape and color. I am definately a chocolate fan and will always favor them. However, I must say the silver and charcoal has really captured my attention. Regardless of the color, rest assured we have done our homework to make sure every lab that leaves our kennel has what it takes to earn it's place in your family.
